Nothing Can Stop a Foo Fighters Concert, Not Even a Dave Grohl Broken Leg

Give it up for Dave Grohl. That guy loves to perform for people no matter where, when or under what conditions. Even if it means with a broken leg.

Over in Sweden, Grohl got two songs into the Foo Fighters’ set before falling offstage during their song, “Monkey Wrench”. How ironic. Concert video shows Grohl on the ground, announcing to the crowd:

“Ladies and gentlemen…I think I just broke my leg. I think I really broke my leg. … Right now, I’m gonna go to the hospital. I’m gonna fix my leg. But then I’m gonna come back, and we’re gonna play for you again!”

Riight, rich rock star, coming back on a broken leg? Never. That’s when Taylor Hawkins, their drummer, went to the mic to promise the crowd a few more songs, albeit non-Foo Fighters songs. And a guarantee they’d be back to play an “even longer” Foo Fighters show. Ever seen 40,000 Swedes rioting? The Foo Fighters didn’t want to.

As the rest of the Foos jam through Queen’s “Under Pressure”, medical people suddenly carry Grohl out onto the stage where he rocks out and joins in the song. The most amazing part, Grohl never misses a beat.

Grohl tweeted out a pic of the broken leg after the show:

Now that’s a trooper and a real rock star. You know what Dave Grohl isn’t? A crybaby.
