Matt Damon Figured Out How to Lose All His Fans

Good news for everyone who loves Matt Damon. Project Greenlight is back for its fourth season after a decade off air. Bad news for everyone who loves Matt Damon. He just tried to minimize the lack of diversity in Hollywood in an attempt at career suicide.

44-year-old Damon got into it with producer Effie Brown about the importance of diversity in Hollywood after Brown brought up concerns about the only woman of color in the film being a prostitute being beat up by her pimp. She wanted to make sure the character didn’t fall into a racist stereotype and suggested a diverse directorial team.

Interrupting, Damon argued, “When we’re talking about diversity, you do it in the casting of the film, not in the casting of the show.”

Brown, taken aback, replied, “Wow, okay.”

Matt Damon’s PR team is probably going through the 5 stages of grief right now. Currently they’re in the, “Awww, c’mon! What the f**k, bro?!,” mode.
