After decades spent as a bachelor and several high profile romances, former Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter, 41, is reportedly engaged to swimsuit model Hannah Davis, 25. According to New York Daily News, which originally broke the story, Davis “already has the ring” and her family is “very happy because they really like him.”
Of course they do. He’s Derek goddamn Jeter.
Davis and Jeter have been a couple since 2012 and he proposed on their anniversary. Jeter is known for dating beautiful Hollywood stars, including a three-year relationship with Friday Night Lights actress Minka Kelly, and romances with Jordana Brewster, Vanessa Lachey, and Mariah Carey.
This will be the first marriage for Jeter, who has never been engaged or had kids. After 20 seasons, five championship titles, and hundreds of wins, he retired in 2014 and sounds more than ready to get dadding.
“I just know that I personally couldn’t have done it while I was playing. I was too selfish to be able to juggle a family and kids. But I look forward to it happening.”
