I had gotten really, really sick of hearing casting news about Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. It’s been a saga that no one cared about since 2009, which is of course not unusual in Hollywood but did unfortunately miss the window when zombies were cool.
But now finally the trailer drops! And the actual feature length film will be in theaters February 5, 2016. Wonderful for them, they’ve reached the window where young women killing is very in vogue.
Long done with the whole zombie thing myself, I will admit I’m looking forward to this. It’s much more serious than I expected, I thought the book might have a more literary humor and thought the film might have a similar tone to Shaun of the Dead and less Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter (which I have not seen, it just looks like something that should be silly but went the dark, gritty route instead.)
Pride and Prejudice and Zombies looks pretty badass, and WAY more violent than Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth. Next year’s big Valentine’s Day movie maybe?
