Rihanna Cast in New Luc Besson Sci-Fi Movie So Expect Another Flop

French director Luc Besson, famous for The Fifth Element, announced yesterday that Rihanna has been cast in a major role in his upcoming film Valerian and the City of A Thousand Planets.

Rihanna joins Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne, who play Valerian and Laureline, as government operatives traveling through space and time. It’s based on a wildly popular French comic book and slated for release in July 2017.

Pretty exciting news for Rihanna, whose acting career never really took off after the major flop that was Battleship.
