Dominic Cooper, who was a shining star in the film adaptation of Mamma Mia!, takes things in a different direction with AMC’s newest series Preacher, based on the popular comic series.
What surprised me, even though I had definitely heard about it before, is that the show was developed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, the guys behind Superbad and This Is the End and everyone knows who Seth Rogen is at this point, so do I need to bother doing this at all? They teamed up with Sam Catlin who worked on Breaking Bad, a good and smart choice.
Preacher follows Jesse Custer (Cooper) who is a gun-toting priest, along with his ex-girlfriend Tulip (Ruth Negga), and an Irish vampire Cassidy (Joe Gilgun), who sets out to find God. Like to actually find him.
The show will premiere sometime in 2016 and because of Dominic Cooper’s performance in Mamma Mia! and something about the color of his hair, I am in love with him and am inclined to watch anything he does.
