Co-Creators of ‘The Big Bang Theory’ See A Finale In Sight

Without too much further ado, the end of The Big Bang Theory is finally in sight. After 6 years of reaching the charts of the top 15 most watched television shows in the United States, co-creators Chuck Lorre and Steve Moralo finally see an end in sight.

Via the Hollywood Reporter, Moralo shares:

The reality is that maybe season 10 is the ending point.

*claps* *sigh of relief*

A show that has pandered to the masses like none other before, featuring disgustingly overstated and trite representations of what it means to be:

  • A nerd
  • To be smart
  • To be polite and human

The Big Bang Theory has lived far passed its societal expiration date by many standards, however people will not stop eating it up. With sitcom-style laugh tracks, the show has to tell you when to laugh. It has to cue the chorus of a dozen now-deceased people to tell you, this is funny, please find this funny.

But even if the show stops producing new episodes… it will undoubtedly be re-aired repeatedly ad nauseam. And likely a reunion season or movie produced by Netflix. My previously optimistic deposition has now been vacated in favor of resignation to the persistence of popular culture in its persistence to never let things die……….. even when it’s time.

Disney, on the other hand, has made money hand over fist breaking law after law. So whether this POS ends or not, doesn’t matter. Releasing a person from corporate exploitation, abuse, violation and slavery is what matters. The bullshit… Read more »
