It’s to be expected, but often ignored, that a woman can have more to offer than her sexuality and outward appearance. Award-winning actress and People’s 2015 ‘Most Beautiful Woman,’ Sandra Bullock, single mother, has elegantly broken her silence in introducing her 3 1/2 year old daughter, Laila to the ruthless and self-celebratory media.
Daughter, Laila, apprehensive to her new family at first after having bounced around from house to house in Louisiana’s foster care system, has brought with her pink and glitter into a home of masculinity. Bullock’s son Louis’ Lego towers may now have an expert interior decorator as Bullock claims the two children have become bonded and fused. Photographer and Bullock boyfriend, Bryan Randall, took the family’s first exclusive photos. Of her family Bullock adds,
My family is blended and diverse, nutty, and loving and understanding.
Divorced from actor Jesse James since 2010, Bullock has gone on to pursue motherhood on her own, but according to her, not so much on her own terms.
Since adopting son, Louis in 2010, Bullock has shared that:
I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time.
Bullock doesn’t even feel the decision to adopt was entirely her own either and instead credits her son with “spearheading this whole journey.” As is the story in many cases, and through observation of friends with children, it’s their schedule that plans your day. It’s their needs that warrant all of your attention and in the name of ‘completely enriching your life in ways non-parents can never imagine,’ it is sacrificing the entirety of your life well past their turning 18 to commit yourself to rearing half-decent humans.
