Scott Weiland Dead at 48

Scott Weiland, longtime frontman of Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver and now Scott Weiland & The Wildabouts, was found dead on his tour bus at around 9 PM Thursday night. He was 48. Reports TMZ,

Police surrounded the bus, which was parked outside a motel in the town of Bloomington, MN. The Hennepin County Coroner now has Weiland’s body.

Weiland had famously battled substance abuse problems. While there’s no word on what killed him and there probably won’t be for a little while, we can just assume it’s drugs, right?
