Ultimate Fighter winner and 7-2 UFC fighter Julianna Peña was arrested in Spokane, Washington. According to the police report, Peña and training partner Joshua Gow tried to enter a bar, Zola’s, following a 20-person brawl outside another bar, the Globe.
Gow’s face was covered in blood and Peña, who knew the staff at Zola’s, wanted to get in to clean him up. They were denied because the bar was closing. Upset, Peña kicked a bar employee in the groin and then kicked the owner in the groin. Twice.
Peña, who was clearly drunk, was charged with two counts of assault and booked. She was released on $20,000 bail Sunday afternoon.
A witness told police that everyone at the bar knew Peña and that he had dropped his phone during the fight and believed Peña or Gow had taken it. Another officer found three phones in Peña’s purse. When questioned, Peña said she had picked them up “accidentally”.
Add this to the list of things I never want to have happen to me. Kicked in the balls by a professional fighter.
