Looks Like We’re Getting ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean 5’ Six Weeks Early

Because we were all looking forward to what will most likely be another cinematic disaster, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales has been moved up from its July 7, 2017 date. It’ll now be released on May 26, 2017. Oh joy.

The film will star Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow (obviously). Geoffrey Rush will be back as Captain Barbossa and Orlando Bloom will return as Will Turner. Interestingly, Javier Bardem has been cast as Captain Salazar. After his turn as the villain in Skyfall, I am sold. I would watch Javier Bardem fold laundry for two hours. I already feel better about this movie.

Despite feeling like it was comprised of nine scripts that had been ripped up and put back together into one script by someone that does not understand English, the last Pirates Of The Caribbean flick grossed over $1 billion globally, so we’ll be dealing with this franchise until the end of time.

Disney has also announced that they pushed the release date of Star Wars: Episode VIII back from May 26, 2017 to December 15, 2017, so if you want to see the same Star Wars film you’ve seen at least three times already again, you’ll have to wait on that.
