If you didn’t know already, Ciara and Future have a child together, commonly referred to as ‘baby Future.’ The once engaged couple fell into turmoil shortly after baby Future’s birth. Since then, Ciara has gone very public about her relationship with Seattle Seahawks’ quarterback, Russell Wilson. Early in the summer of 2015, paparazzi caught Ciara and baby Future on the Seahawks’ practice field with Russell Wilson. Breakups are hard, especially if children are involved… it can’t be easy to breakup in front of the public eye either. Taking the route of most drama, Future used the subtweet to air his grievances.

Why do all great things have to come with such a hefty price tag? The greatest sex in life often comes from the least compatible people, and unfortunately, sometimes the person you once loved becomes the person you hate the most. At the drop of a hat, your whole world can fall into reverse.
Since more has become public about Wilson and Ciara’s relationship, Future has become increasingly vocal about his feelings on the matter. In one since-deleted tweet, Future vents:
This bitch got control problems … I gotta go through lawyers to see baby future … the fuckery for 15k a month.
We hear you, Future. Loud and clear. The twittersphere was not wide enough for the lengths of Future’s complaints. In a July 2015 radio interview, he put Wilson on full blast regarding the now-famous photo of the football player pushing baby Future in his stroller. Leaving no room for doubt for Wilson as the relationship progresses, Future is not giving up his kid, he yells:
You are not my kid’s father!!!
Exclamation point! Exclamation point! Exclamation point! It’s really a precious photo, but let’s be real. It’s got to hurt. Furthermore, he goes so far as to excuse his ex of manufacturing the image:
She probably set him [Russell] up. You letting them catch that photo. Leave my son out of all the publicity stunts.
So far, Future has shown few moments of maturity in the battle, but I can’t say I don’t have empathy for his unfortunate circumstances. While Future has been very open about his feelings about Ciara, Ciara has been all but silent in the public eye. But not in ignorance, Ciara intends to stand up to her baby daddy with a suit worth $15 million citing Future’s tweets and interviews as incidents of slander and libel.
Ciara seeks to compel Future to remove his tweets and bar him from speaking publicly about their personal lives again… it’s almost like she forgets they’re public figures and there’s free speech. I’m afraid to live in a world where tweets actually hold some gravity in this world.
It’s a good thing Future has been making a killing this year because legal fees pile up fast. Moral of the story? Stop reproducing, life is hard enough without children to ruin.
