Sarah Michelle Gellar to Reprise ‘Cruel Intentions’ Role in NBC Pilot

It’s offish. Sarah Michelle Gellar’s gonna be back as Kathryn Merteuil in NBC’s Cruel Intentions revival. She shared the news Wednesday night on her Instagram.

If the pilot gets picked up, Gellar will be one of the key players, and thank the lord. It has been so long since Buffy, and I need more Sarah Michelle Gellar in my life, stat.

Real tired of fucking remakes and sequels and all this lazy s**t, but it is what it is.

The new Cruel Intentions takes place 15 years after the film ended, centering around an all grown up Kathryn played by Gellar. She is a classic femme fatale: a smart, sexy, master manipulator involved in a world of intrigue.

Roger Kumble, the writer/director of the original, is back helming this thing, so maybe it won’t even suck a whole bag of dicks.
