Taylor Swift Donates $250k to Kesha Following Friday’s Court Ruling

Unfortunately, as well all know by know, pop-singer Kesha (dollar sign dropped) has been fighting Sony and producer, Dr Luke. Kesha has sued the the producer for sexual assault and battery. Dr. Luke then countersued for defamation and breach of contract. After that, Kesha filed a preliminary injunction, which would have granted her the ability to produce music on her own, return to selling merchandise and potentially embark on a tour. If only New York Supreme Court Justice Kornreich had not denied the motion. The singer was pictured sobbing in the court room as the decision was delivered.

Fans and celebrities alike have taken to social media in shows of support using the hashtag #FreeKesha.

They’ve called for Sony boycotts (good luck – do you know what Sony owns?). Some petitions have also been started to buy Kesha out of her contract or otherwise release her.

Now, Taylor Swift has donated $250k to Kesha in hopes that it would alleviate some strife as she continues to be a warrior through a process set up against victims.

“In a show of support, Taylor Swift has donated $250,000 to Kesha to help with any of her financial needs during this trying time,” a spokesperson for Swift wrote in a statement.

What won’t Taylor Swift do to make sure the spotlight is always on her in the most positive of lights? She seems to chime in at any hint of a feminist buzzword so that she might be check it off her list of infallible humanitarianism acts and love of all? She wants to make you feel as bad as possible if you don’t like her.

…Or in reality Taylor spent $250k on self promotion/publicity, which is probably pittance compared to her general ad spend.
