Ashley Graham Covers Maxim’ Magazine – ‘My Life, Lately, Is Naked’

Never knew much about Ashley Graham, other than she’s the newest plus size fashion sensation. She got into Sports Illustrated and now, she’s prepared to strike while the proverbial iron is hot.

Graham made it onto the cover of Maxim. She looks like a cross between Cindy Crawford and Eva Mendes. That’s definitely a good thing.

In the article, she talks about being naked everywhere these days. Or at least, nearly naked.

The lingerie model and entrepreneur is prone to deep laughter and public displays of self-assurance. Her Instagram (1.4 million followers) is one barely clad shot after another, whether she’s wearing a lacy black push-up bra or a skimpy bikini. “My life, lately, is naked,” she laughs.

She’s also a celeb-preneur.

This winter Graham launched her eighth collection of namesake lingerie for the label Addition Elle, now at Nordstrom and online shops like Bare Necessities; her clothing line for Dressbarn dropped in March, and in May she’ll debut her first collection for the popular online retailer Swimsuitsforall.

Cashing in those plus-size checks. Wonder if they pay her with those oversized checks they give to lottery winners. That would be ironic.

 “I know these celebrity entrepreneurs are just people. They’ve just been given the right opportunities and have soared with them. And that’s what I’m trying to do.”

Good for her to ride this wave because no matter what, designers and magazines will always go back to skinny, size 0 models. Regular people are doughy and no one wants to see doughy people in movies, as models, nowhere.
