Axl Rose Is Still Alive, Reportedly Joining AC/DC on Tour

What’s worse than premier bands continuing to produce past their expiration dates? What’s worse is when two premier bands continuing to produce past their expiration date join forces to continue to produce past their expiration date. Using Axl Rose’s tracking chip, we know that he was in Atlanta over the weekend and there are hushed whispers that he’s been there rehearsing with AC/DC, not Guns N’ Roses.

Earlier this month, it was announced that AC/DC would be postponing the last leg of their tour due to frontman Brian Johnson’s ongoing health issues and suspected hearing loss. Heath issues, that’s so rock’n roll. But instead of being divas about the whole thing, apparently AC/DC has determined that the show simply must go on–with or without Johnson.

Atlanta radio personality Jason Bailey surmises that Axl Rose, shockingly in better condition than Brian Johnson, is going to be the frontman substitute:

This is what I’m being told, Axl was meeting with the AC/DC group, because it’s all but a done deal that Axl will front AC/DC for the 10 remaining shows. All 10, including Atlanta.

Reunion touring is as bad as nostalgia television. It’s a gimmicky, watered down version of the best parts of our collective rearing. Nothing worse than seeing your favorite musician in concert only to find out that he can’t sing anymore.
