Chloe Grace Moretz Is Too #Deep to Want to Be in Taylor Swift’s Clique

When Complex asked Chloe Grace Moretz if she’d been invited to Taylor Swift’s girl gang (which, outside of 90’s teen rom coms where all the actors are 45, who sends engraved friendship invites) Moretz said she was and she’s not feeling it.

Moretz in #Deep because she hates the concept of the “girl squad.” She told Complex:

“They appropriate exclusivity. They’re cliques!”

Is she saying that a bunch of women being friends with each other is antifeminist? Because like…um….what? I feel like this sentence actually doesn’t make sense.

I know Taylor and her celeb squad give off total ‘plastics vibes’, but we don’t actually live in the film Mean Girls, Chloe. Relax. Maybe she should focus less on being some kind of “indie queen” and more on being a genuine person who doesn’t point blank turn down people’s supposed overtures to be bros based on some s**t in her head.

“I want to be America’s sweetheart. I want to be beloved. I want to be an indie queen, but I want people to really love me and what I’ve done and let me be a part of their lives at home.”

Look at the not-quite-Ellen Page go. Saying more s**t that sounds lofty but is just useless. Thanks, kid.

You people promote that hyper-feminist crap and then are offended when people who buy into it sound pretentious and overly sensitive. Check the mirror.
