We have found our Lara Croft!
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alicia Vikander has signed on to star in Tomb Raider for MGM, Warner Bros. and GK Films.
The movie has Roar Uthaug slated to direct. The new installment will tell the story of a young and super hot Lara Croft who has not yet earned her adventuring chops, struggling to survive through her very first adventure.
You go Baby Croft.
Since the first two Tomb Raider films are what established Angelina Jolie as an international powerhouse, Vikander, who just won an Oscar for being in The Danish Girl, is probably hoping that this gives her that franchise status and that franchise money.
MGM and Warner Bros. are co-producing the film with MGM overseeing its production.
