Indonesia Is Not on Good Terms With Leonardo DiCaprio

Well… apparently not everyone on the planet loves Leonardo DiCaprio. And it’s not just that douchebag in the back of your seminar who thinks it’s cute to play devil’s advocate. Right now… the Indonesian government–yes, the entire Indonesian government–is wondering if it’s time to take steps to ban the Oscar winner from its country. Why, you ask?

Our Leo has taken the delicate time to go through his career-making marvelous films and dating only tall blond models but not without a conscience. The actor, who has a very active Instagram account, has used his fame to promote environmental efforts all across the world instead of you know, taking gym selfies and showing off all the food I can’t eat while I’m on this diet.

Instead, his Instagram has photos of DiCaprio all across the world using his own hands in conjunction with his millions of dollars to make the world a better place and call even the laziest of fans to action.

As the forest of the #Indonesian#LeuserEcosystem continues to be cleared to meet demand for Palm Oil, the critically endangered Sumatran #orangutan is being pushed to the brink of extinction. Here, at the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Programme’s Orangutan Quarantine Center, rescued orangutans are rehabilitated so they can be released back into the wild. If we don’t stop this rampant destruction, the Leuser Ecosystem and the Sumatran orangutans that call it home could be lost forever. And well… you guessed it. Indonesia doesn’t f**k with someone telling them how to run their country. According to Indonesian spokesman, Heru Santoso:

“We support his concern to save the Leuser ecosystem. But we can blacklist him from returning to Indonesia at any time if he keeps posting incitement or provocative statements in his social media.”

After all, some bullshit borders drawn by some arbitrary cartographer tells them those rainforests are theirs to destroy.
