In March 2015, rumors were going around that Jennifer Lawrence was over X-Men, which she then confirmed in an interview. X-Men Apocalypse was supposed to be her last film in the franchise.
Not anymore. While talking to Empire on the set of the film, she said that she wants to come back real bad.
“I am dying to come back. I love these movies, I love being in them. I love ensemble movies because it’s not on anyone’s shoulders.”
However, that doesn’t mean she will be back. Director Bryan Singer said that after this flick, a number of key actors’ contracts expire. This includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and others.
So, who knows whether or not J-Law will get another run as Mystique and another collective 9000 hours in the makeup chair or not? Who knows if any of the other key players will return?
Not me.
