Brock Lesnar Set to Make His Return at UFC 200

During an amazing night of fights at UFC 199 (that Rockhold vs Bisping fight!), a promo ran for the tentpole UFC 200 event in July. The video featured all the marquee fights from Jon Jones vs Cormier, Miesha Tate vs Amanda Nunes and Jose Aldo vs Frankie Edgar. However, what happened at the end of the promo was what got everyone moist.

Following the loss of the most compelling fight on the card, Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz II, after McGregor was pulled for refusing to fulfill his press obligations, people were a little meh about it. But with tonight’s new promo, my god, the hype was restored because who should appear at the end of it? Brock Lesnar. The first man to bring the casuals into UFC is now about to bring them back.

His opponent is still yet to be announced but the frontrunner is Mark Hunt, a man famous for his walkway KOs. A couple weeks back, Dana White told him to stay ready in case they needed him for UFC 200. Other possibilities include Fedor Emelianenko and Shane Carwin. These are probably long shots as Fedor is fighting in June and Shane has pretty much retired though he tweeted he’d be up for it.

Brock Lesnar was last seen in the octagon getting beat like a redheaded stepchild by Alistair Overeem who sent him back to the WWE.
