Did Tom Hiddleston Know What He Was Getting Into? Taylor Swift Used Him as a Cover Up

What a surprise. Taylor Swift has manufactured another PR stunt to divert attention from something more scandalous that she did. Ever since we met Taylor Swift, she’s been belting out smash hits about her famous ex-beaus. This girl feels hard and it’s all for the sake of the brand.

Two weeks ago, Calvin Harris and Swift called it quits on their year-long relationship and we thought we were gonna get a new album for the summer. But then something strange happened. I mean not something unexpected necessarily but something out of order in the PEMDAS formula. First you break up with bae. Then you write a song. Then you put out that song. Then you find a new bae while experiencing lightning rods of success from the gods themselves. We applaud her courage. Repeat. Never go out of order.

Unless of course, a new story is about to be published that might steal some of your iconic thunder. Then we got to speed up this PR machine to cover our tracks instantly. So Taylor Swift thinks, I’ll know what I’ll do! I’ll kiss Loki! It’ll be great, maybe I’ll even get that Marvel Part I want!

But what could possibly warrant the publicity maven going off brand? What could possibly be bad enough for Taylor Swift to need a new bae? She’s been all about that feminist independent woman jawn. For that, of course, we have to look to Kanye. We get the deets from a GQ profile on wife and fellow maven, Kim Kardashian. Remember in February when Ye dropped TLOP? I do. Remember when he dropped Famous as the 5th track? I do. Remember when Taylor Swift tore it down and feminist all around the world applauded her for her bravery against hip hop’s misogyny? Same. As per GQ:

Kim says Taylor’s deep emotional wound is nonsense — okay, she says it’s a lie — and that there’s video proof, because a videographer was actually filming their phone call. Why? Because Kim’s husband commissions videographers to film everything when he’s recording an album, for posterity (and possibly, one day, a documentary). And this is where it gets sticky.

“She totally approved that,” Kim says, shaking her head in annoyance. “She totally knew that that was coming out. She wanted to all of a sudden act like she didn’t. I swear, my husband gets so much s**t for things [when] he really was doing proper protocol and even called to get it approved.”

And we know Kim is not someone you particularly want on your bad side. You might hate her and you might hate Kanye even more, but this is a couple that backs their s**t up and then some.

Kim has a sense of humor about the whole thing though. She says it’s funny like when you’re about to put your man on blast with some screenshots.

It was funny because [on the call with Kanye, Taylor] said, ‘When I get on the Grammy red carpet, all the media is going to think that I’m so against this, and I’ll just laugh and say, ‘The joke’s on you, guys. I was in on it the whole time.’ And I’m like, wait, but [in] your Grammy speech, you completely dissed my husband just to play the victim again.

Since the Grammys, Taylor has only spoken through her publicist on the matter.

Taylor does not hold anything against Kim Kardashian as she recognizes the pressure Kim must be under and that she is only repeating what she has been told by Kanye West. However, that does not change the fact that much of what Kim is saying is incorrect.

But this is the story that was about to come out. So we kissed Tom Hiddleston and it’s all better.
