Disney Plans to Water Down Darth Vader in ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’

Since everyone seems to be confused that the word war is literally in the title of Star Wars, let me just remind you that you should expect war and the dark undertones that come with it. Last week we found out that over 40% of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story had to be reshot for fear that it was too dark for Disney and its audience. And to add insult to injury, there’s a Reddit rumor floating around.

User KeepR1Dark prefaces by sharing his involvement with the film to increase credibility:

I’m one of many people who had a hand in making Rogue One, A Star Wars Story, and I want to answer all your questions today in hopes that you guys like what we made for you and this goes viral so Disney backs the f**k off of our movie.

He then goes on to explain his upset:

In a night scene Vader absolutely lays waste to a Rebel ground Squad. Unfortunately this is one of the scenes we have to water down. We made it like something from the old slasher/horror films. Rebel soldiers who joked about a boogie man with magical powers and then minutes later are absolutely wasted.
