Tom DeLonge Quit Blink-182 Because It Cut Into His UFO Investigations

In a new interview with Mic, Tom DeLonge says he didn’t quit Blink-182 because he grew up, he quit because the band was taking too much time away from his UFO investigations. DeLonge, who believes UFOs are a “national security issue”, is creating a media franchise to investigate “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” called Sekret Machines.

During his talk, DeLonge sort of comes off as a UFO hipster saying stuff like “First of all, we don’t really call it ‘aliens’. In pop culture, that’s a term people throw out there, and rightfully so because the government spends a lot of time and a lot of money throwing that term out there.”

Oh, were you also into UFOs before they were cool, DeLonge? *Cue X-Files music* I want to believe, DeLonge!
