Bill Nye Isn’t Ready To Let The World End, Gets His Own Show Back

I don’t know whether to be in love with or terrified of Netflix. They got me swooning with these great ideas, but they got me reviling at their potential to control my every thought. But when I heard that Bill Nye was going to be coming back to tv and it was all thanks to Netflix… I can’t say I care about the latter anymore.

Per The Wrap, Bill Nye, you know the Science Guy, will host his own Netflix-streamed talk show, Bill Nye Saves The World in which Bill will:

 dispel myths and refute anti-scientific claims that may be espoused by politicians, religious leaders or titans of industry.

Ok, so maybe Bill Nye Saves The World sounds more tongue-in-cheek than off first glance. It’s about time we had some source of media that has knowledge of science! Bill made the announcement himself:

Today, I’m excited to be working with Netflix on a new show, where we’ll discuss the complex scientific issues facing us today, with episodes on vaccinations, genetically modified foods and climate change. With the right science and good writing, we’ll do our best to enlighten and entertain our audience. And, perhaps we’ll change the world a little.
