The Emmys Were Sunday

The 2016 Emmys took place last night. Of course I didn’t watch because my fantasy team needed my positive vibes. But, hey. I hear things happened. John Travolta finally touched another award for The People v. O.J. Simpson winning for outstanding limited series. Game of Thrones won best drama, Veep won top comedy.

Jill Soloway compared Donald Trump to Hitler saying, “He’s a complete dangerous monster and at any moment that I have to call him out for being an inheritor of Hitler I will.” She also introduced a new catchphrase during her acceptance speech, “Topple the patriarchy.”

Kate McKinnon won an Emmy for outstanding supporting actress for a comedy and made Twitter cream their collective pants. Then there was some sort of sandwich incident where a bunch of people got PB&Js and didn’t eat them.

Meanwhile, Kerry Washington managed to do the impossible by not looking like a awkward waddling pregnant woman on the red carpet.

But I know what you’re really here for. Photos from the red carpet. As the kids say these days, I got you fam.
