Taylor Swift has been in court over an alleged groping incident with a Denver area DJ in 2013. A supposed picture of the incident has been sealed by the court, but according to Billboard, the transcript of her deposition has now been made public. Thank God, we can all hear more graphic details of groping!
According to Swift, DJ David Mueller touched her inappropriately at a meet and greet after her concert. She said,“Right as the moment came for us to pose for the photo, he took his hand and put it up my dress and grabbed onto my ass cheek and no matter how much I scooted over it was still there.” Taylor is positive it wasn’t an accident and is also positive that it was an extremely juvenile move, even for a local DJ.
Swift goes on to say, “I remember being frantic, distressed, feeling violated in a way I had never experienced before.” It’s a feeling similar to anyone that experienced hearing “Shake it Off” on repeat at a niece’s birthday party.
The DJ denies the incident and says his boss actually groped her. The radio station found the claim believable enough because the DJ was fired two days after the event.
Finding his behavior wasn’t quite douchey enough, the DJ filed a lawsuit against Swift claiming slander. Swift countersued for assault and battery and promises to give any money in her favor to charities against sexual assault.
Hopefully, the lawsuit won’t have to go to court and we may have the opportunity to report on a women’s news story that isn’t 100% related to sexual harassment and grown men grabbing boobs and butts.
