Blackhair Magazine Fucked Up So Bad

I guess at least they got the hair part right.

Blackhair is an international bimonthly magazine that’s supposed to be solely about, shockingly, black hair. Needless to say, plastering a white girl wearing a wig on the front cover hasn’t gone over too well.

Black models and angry readers demanded an apology, and they gave one on their Facebook page.

“This morning it was brought to our attention that the model gracing our December/January issue is not of black or mixed-race heritage. We were obviously not aware of this prior to selecting the image.

“We often ask PR companies/salons to submit images for the magazine, specifically stating that models must be Black or mixed race. We can only take their word for it, and of course, try to use our own judgment.”

The white model in question, Emily Bador, claimed it was an old photo, from years ago, and apologized for taking the cover from a black model, even though she had no idea that, that would be the result.

So, what does Emily look like without all that on? Well, very white.
