Charlie Hunnam Used Method Acting to Ignore His GF for Five Months

Jared Leto killed method acting. It’s over. Y’all can stop.

In order to get more into the role of 19th century explorer Percy Fawcett in his upcoming film The Lost City of Z, Charlie Hunnam pretended his girlfriend didn’t exist for five months.

Sounds like the perfect relationship.

But wait, that makes it sound like he did it intentionally. It’s not actually that cool. Turns out in the middle of Colombia where they filmed the movie, there was no wifi or reliable mail system. Most of the letters they tried to send back and forth didn’t actually go anywhere. Once faced with no other option, he decided to Leto it.

I wonder how many dildos he sent costar Robert Pattinson?

Hunnam told EW:

“We went to Colombia, and the mail system doesn’t really work very well. It’s completely unreliable. I received a letter from her, and I realized that from the tone of it and things she was saying that she hadn’t received the two letters that I sent before.”

His response? Stop writing all together.

What a dick. He did crawl home with some emeralds for her though. I hope she took the emeralds from him and threw him out the window.
