Julian Assange AMA Full of Vague Answers and Crazy Conspiracy Commenters

Julian Assange did a Reddit AMA today. The answers weren’t especially illuminating, but did feature a lot of conspiracy theorists posting crazy s**t.

During the video AMA, there were LOTS of comments saying the Assange was really dead and this was all fake. Posts of “Shoe on his head or Assange is dead.” That kind of fine discourse.

Assange did read the blockchain of Reddit to prove he is indeed alive. But lots of questions got not very thorough answers.

The first question was about Assange’s October, where he discussed the problems with working in the Ecuadorian Embassy and how his internet connection was cut after pressure from Sen. John Kerry and possibly others.

He insisted that Wikileaks does not post from the embassy, he merely lives there as a “political refugee.”

Assange spent a lot of time answering questions about this controversial tweet that has now been deleted:

“We are thinking of making an online database with all ‘verified’ twitter accounts & their family/job/financial/housing relationships.”

Assange denied that Wikileaks has or is working on a Twitter database and said¬†“Data points are needed to create a map of predictors to understand relationships between people involved in influencing on Twitter.” He also claims that Twitter is promoting a “class hierarchy” between the verifieds and the unverifies of the Twitterverse.

Assange was open to questions but gave few satisfying answers. But if you want to see a lot of comments from people saying Julian Assange is dead, then definitely check out the video.
