Tom Hiddleston Apologizes For Golden Globes Speech, Should Apologize For Winning

Tom Hiddleston has apologized for his Golden Globes speech where he told a story about aid workers in South Sudan aid workers thanking him for his work on The Night Manager after they binge watched it.

I completely agree that my speech at the Golden Globes last night was inelegantly expressed. In truth, I was very nervous, and my words just came out wrong.

Hiddleston came under criticism for basically congratulating himself for entertaining those less fortunate, which is a fair criticism.

This all could have been avoided if Riz Ahmed won Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television and not Hiddleston. Seriously, The Night Manager sucked.

I thought Hiddleston’s speech was pretty self-congratulatory, but so was Meryl Streep’s, and everyone loved her speech.
