‘Arrival’ Director to Helm ‘Dune’ Reboot, No Word If Sting Will Reprise Role

Get ready for another Dune.

Denis Villeneuve was just confirmed to direct a remake of the classic sci-fi novel Dune. Villeneuve has done well in the past few years with Sicario and Arrival. Now, he gets the challenge of making people running around a weird, fucked-up plant looking for spice sound exciting.

Dune was made into a film in 1984 and directed by David Lynch, but it’s mostly known for being a complete mess and critical disaster.

Though the book series has many fans, some question whether this story can ever make it to the big screen successfully.

But since he’s already doing the Blade Runner reboot, he might as well get Dune under his belt. At least one of them will be good. Hopefully.
