Tom Hiddleston Talks About That ‘I Heart T.S.’ T-Shirt

The three month romance between Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston was probably one of the most debated celebrity hookups of the past five years. Was it real? Was it fake? Was media manipulator and all around “snake emoji” type mean girl Taylor Swift in it for her next album? Was Tom Hiddleston in it to raise his profile? Was he wearing that shirt because Taylor brainwashed him? According to Tom Hiddleston in a new GQ interview, no:

“The truth is, it was the Fourth of July and a public holiday and we were playing a game and I slipped and hurt my back. And I wanted to protect the graze from the sun and said, ’Does anyone have a T-shirt?’ And one of her friends said, ’I’ve got this.’ ” The friend pulled out the “I ♥ T.S.” tank top that Taylor’s friends are contractually obligated to own. “And we all laughed about it. It was a joke.”

In fact, when asked about what the f**k happened there, Tom didn’t really have almost anything to say that wasn’t about how great Taylor was and the T-shirt. And when asked why they didn’t work out? Well, he blames assholes like me stalking them and making fun of them, honestly.

“A relationship in the limelight… A relationship always takes work. A relationship in the limelight takes work. And it’s not just the limelight. It’s everything else.”

Come on, we all know Tom Hiddleston isn’t about to insult anyone. Nothing to see here, folks.
