Arnold Schwarzenegger Leaving ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ Because Donald Trump

Failing to realize that they are partly the reason that Donald Trump is president, NBC continued on with Celebrity Apprentice. Arnold Schwarzenegger took over as the host because this time NBC wanted a guy who already got that political stuff out of his system.

After one season, Arnold is done. And, naturally, Trump is to blame.

“I loved every second of working with NBC and Mark Burnett,” he [Schwarzenegger] said to the New York Times. “I would absolutely work with all of them again on a show that doesn’t have this baggage.”

“Even if asked [to do it again] I would decline,” Schwarzenegger explained further in his interview with Empire. “With Trump being involved in the show people have a bad taste and don’t want to participate as a spectator or as a sponsor or in any other way support the show. It’s a very divisive period now and I think this show got caught up in all that division.”

Trump still maintains his “executive producer” title on Celebrity Apprentice, and given how much he likes to use his executive orders, I can only imagine how much producing he’s doing on the show. My guess is that he’s paying more attention to that than he is the free world.

Hey NBC, if you want to right this wrong, how about offer Trump his hosting gig back in exchange for him stepping down as president. You don’t think he would take that? I bet he would. Do something good for once, NBC.
