When Your Kids Decide to Torpedo Your TV Career

Poor Robert Kelly is never going to be invited back on live television again. But maybe his kids will.

In the video above, Kelly is trying to discuss South Korean politics on BBC, when his kids are bored and decide they want to watch Disney channel. Can’t say that I blame them.

The first kid does a little dance to get noticed before Kelly elbow smashes her in the face. That’s when the second kid scoots on in like a rouge android. The best part is the mom racing in there with a look on her face that says, “I know I fucked up” as she scrambles to pull the kids out of the room.

Don’t they know how to lock a door? And if you’re not going to lock the door, you have to make sure you give the kid an iPad to play with so they are occupied during your five minute segment. Seriously, that TV appearance could not have lasted that long. How hard is it to keep the kids entertained for a few minutes while daddy informs a nation?

The biggest mistake here was not talking to the daughter. I wanted her opinion on South Korean politics. Does she think they made a mistake by impeaching the President? More kids should be interviewed on television. I hear they say the darnedest things.
