Update: Aaron Hernandez Had ‘John 3:16’ Written on Forehead, Possibly Smoked K2

This story just got weird. Aaron Hernandez was found earlier today hanging from a bedsheet in his jail cell. Lots are calling it a suicide, but we don’t really know. It looks likely though.

Now there’s more details to add. Hernandez was found with the Bible verse “John 3:16” scrawled on his forehead. The verse reads:

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Also, prison officials found red markings on his hands and feet. That’s very religious. Hands, feet, crucifixion, Easter Sunday. Hmm…It’s all related.

But wait, there’s more!

Law enforcement sources tell WBZ investigators are looking into the possibility that the former New England Patriot may have smoked synthetic marijuana called K2 Tuesday night.

Maybe it’s related. Side effects “include catatonia, profound anxiety and paranoia, nausea and vomiting, elevated heartbeat and blood pressure, seizures, and hallucinations.” I can see Hernandez hallucinating off this. Too bad he didn’t hallucinate about being free. That would’ve saved him.

There’s reports of his death being a murder, but that doesn’t sound likely.

Sources say investigators believe one of the last people to see Hernandez is a close friend who is now in isolation on what is called “eyeball suicide watch.”

The 22-year-old is in the health service unit with a 24-hour watch with a correction officer and camera watching his every move.

Couldn’t he have drank a little moonshine and called it a day?
