Nivea is a German skincare company. I’ve never used their products because I don’t really care how I look. I sit behind a computer all day. I have no one to impress.
Based on their latest ad, Nivea only cares to impress white people.
Come on #Nivea. This is so racist that I do not even know where to begin.😠Speechless. In future, refer to clothes or products, not colors. pic.twitter.com/m0KTSALFKo

Nivea quickly pulled the ad, but of course, nothing truly dies on the internet. They also released the following statement.
“We are deeply sorry to anyone who may take offense to this specific post. After realizing that the post is misleading, it was immediately withdrawn,”
What a terrible apology. Never put “if you were offended, we’re sorry” in the apology. Also, calling it “misleading” is a bit rich. No one saw the ad and was like, “well this implies that only white people can use it.” They saw the ad and were like, “those racist Germans.”
What’s wrong with the simple slogan “Be Pure”? Just watch Mad Men, people.
On the bright side, Nivea created a great slogan for the next season of Narcos.
Americans in a Trump country, calling the country that is currently the leader for taking refugee’s, racist. lol A company is not representative of the nation, or perhaps you’d like to start looking at the human rights records of some of America’s companies to compare…
