Sonoya Mizuno, The Mute Sex Slave Robot from ‘Ex Machina,’ Cast in ‘Crazy Rich Asians’

Casting news are coming fast…and furious..hehe..for Crazy Rich Asians. Director Jon Chu will take the Kevin Kwan-written book and put it on theater screens everywhere. You had Constance Wu, Henry Golding and Gemma Chan all cast recently.

Wu snags the lead role of Rachel Chu, an American-born Chinese professor who goes to Singapore with her boyfriend, Nick Young (Henry Golding), for his best friend Colin Khoo’s wedding. Once there, she discovers that Young comes from a wealthy family and is Singapore’s most eligible bachelor because $$$. All the women want Young and try to take out Chu from the picture.

Now we have Sonoya Mizuno, 28, cast as Khoo’s fiancée, Araminta Lee. Lee also comes from a ton of money and the wedding has become the talk of Asia. This book sounds like a soap opera.

This looks like Mizuno’s biggest role up to now. Recently, the British-Japanese actress played Emma Stone’s roommate Caitlin in La La Land. They had a dance number (obvs) that also featured Bryan Tanaka. Tanaka’s not doing too well right now if you read this.

Back in 2014, she also acted in Ex Machina. She played Kyoko, the mute sex slave robot of Nathan, a high tech CEO. If you don’t remember her, perhaps these NSFW photos will jog your memory.
