Johnny Depp Rejected ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Script Because Two Female Villains is Confusing

Can we please forget about Johnny Depp already?

He’s gone from a quirky and cool actor and artist to a bankrupt weirdo that abuses women, can’t be bothered to show up or remember lines for the roles he gets paid millions for, and is just all around a fucking dick.

According to Pirates franchise screenwriter Terry Rossio, Johnny Depp was against being in a film with a female villain because they are redundant.

Because apparently banking off the exact same gay Keith Richards impression he’s been doing for ten years is fine, but female villains are “overdone.”

The Independent reports that Rossio said his Pirates 5 script was shelved for a bizarre reason.

“My version of Dead Men Tell No Tales [the US title for Pirates 5] was set aside because it featured a female villain, and Johnny Depp was worried that would be redundant to Dark Shadows, which also featured a female villain.”

In a world where half our most bankable stars are interchangeable buff white dudes named Chris, suggesting that a female character is a gimmick and there should only be one in the entire commercial cinematic landscape at a time is fucking dumb.

I really don’t want to hear about any more of Johnny Depp’s opinions.
