We Almost Saw Eleven from ‘Stranger Things’ as Wolverine’s Daughter. Alas.

Recently, Millie Bobby Brown sat down for an interview with Evan Rachel Wood for Variety. They discussed a lot of things, but the best thing that she revealed was that she had auditioned for the role of Wolverine’s daughter in Logan.

Could you imagine Eleven from Stranger Things with two adamantium claws jutting from each hand? That would have been so badass. She made it as far as being able to sit in the same room as Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold.

While I can’t now imagine anyone other than Dafne Keen playing Laura/X-23, it would have been really interesting to see what kind of character Brown would have portrayed her as. While she was naive at times, Eleven was creepy as all hell in Stranger Things and I wonder how that would have translated as Laura. Even though she missed out on this one, she’s got herself a role in another big franchise – Godzilla. No, I don’t think she will have psychic powers in that one.

I couldn’t believe how poised Brown was during the interview with Wood. It seemed like she had already conducted thousands of them by the time she sat down with Wood. Well, perhaps as a child actress, she’s used to sitting down and talking with people over and over. When I was 13, I was doing my best to hide my acne-ridden face … I’m much better now, I promise.

Now, I know this is supposed to be a snarky site, but I can’t really find myself with anything sarcastic for a 13-year-old. What would I even say to this? “Be more teenaged?” Right now, the only thing she really does is make me feel old, since she confessed on Stephen Colbert that she didn’t know what a record player was at first when she saw it on the Stranger Things set.  She can spit out Nicki Minaj verses like no tomorrow, though.

So, I guess we’ll just have to wait for Season 2 of Stranger Things instead.
