Big Game Hunter Killed When The Elephant He Shot Fell On Him

Good. That’s what you deserve if your idea of a good time is killing unarmed creatures for fun.

Professional big game hunter Theunis Botha (what a name) died at the age of 51 during a hunt in Gwai, Zimbabwe. A member of his hunting party shot at an elephant, and the damn thing fell on top of him and crushed him to death.

Look, it’s 2017. You can prove your masculinity from the comfort of your own home, by calling other dudes playing COD f*****s. You can make memes. Killing s**t for fun is just excessive.

Botha was a well-regarded huntsman known for taking down lions and leopards with a pack of dogs. He’s known for bringing the traditional European style of hunting to South Africa, where you get dogs to drive hordes of animals toward a firing squad of rich white people.

According to News24, Botha’s day job was traveling to America to convince rich people to come with him to Africa and kill things for fun, but things got a bit weird when he and his friends happened across a breeding herd of elephants. Feeling cockblocked and threatened, the elephants attacked.

Three elephant cows stormed the hunters and Botha shot at them. A fourth cow stormed them from the side and one of the hunters shot her after she’d lifted Botha with her trunk. The shot was fatal and as the cow collapsed, she fell on Botha.

Bye, bitch.
