Rihanna Trolls Fat Shamers with Gucci Mane Meme

Starting a feud with Rihanna never ends well, but people keep on doing it. She responded to her critics with a meme on her Instagram. The singer won’t let a body-shaming tabloid get away with it. Especially when she knows we all spend our days talking about how good she looks.

Chris Sprags, a writer for Barstool Sports, published an article headlined, “Is Rihanna Going to Make Being Fat the Hot New Trend?” Sprags (whom Google auto-corrects to Chris Spags) bravely pointed out that Rihanna was “getting fat,” and that she was driving “all the hottest girls [to] look like the humans in Wall-E,” but not even his editor would stand by him. Barstool Sports pulled the article a couple of days later, though they stated it was because Sprags was “not funny enough.” Ouch.

Rihanna responded with good humor, but she didn’t take anything lying down. She memed a picture of Gucci Mane on Instagram, saying “If you can’t handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane,” with a perfectly placed crying emoji. The post has already gotten over 631,000 likes, which is probably more than the combined followers of the entire staff of Barstool Sports.

Look, if you’re gonna throw shade at Rihanna, be ready for the fight that comes afterwards. She didn’t back down when faced with Charlie Sheen (and where is he these days?). She started an entire celebrity movement against Kim Kardashian. This doesn’t seem like a fight you’re going to win.
