After binging on one too many episodes of The X-Files, Rob Lowe has created a new tv series on A&E called The Lowe Files where he and his grown ass sons go hunt for aliens and Bigfoot. Asked why this is a thing, Lowe said he and his sons basically did this on their own and laughed about how someone would put this on tv. They were right. There’s a sucker born every minute.
To build some hype for the series, Lowe said he had an “incredible” encounter with Bigfoot. “I’m fully aware that I sound like a crazy, Hollywood kook right now,” said Lowe who is fully aware that sounding like a crazy, Hollywood kook helps sell his series because none of the paranormal stuff he’s looking for is real.
Describing the encounter, Lowe says he was lying on the ground thinking he was going to be killed. Lowe wouldn’t give any more details because that episode would be the season finale.
“We’re 100 miles from the nearest town. We spent 45 minutes on the most rugged, brutal mountain trails. It’s 1 in the morning. There are a lot of serious former military men with loaded weapons, then something starts approaching our camps that is defying their orders to stop and their warnings that [they were] armed.”
I bet it was a mountain man who wandered into their camp looking for toilet paper because he had just ran out.
Other episodes in the series will explore ghosts and spirits probably using the same technology that Scientologists use. Don’t be surprised if one of their spirit detection devices is them pointing a radar at a dark spot and going, “pew, pew, pew.”
