Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Brings KFC Into Bizarre Nickelback Feud

In case you missed it, Corey Taylor from the band Slipknot has been throwing jabs at the world’s easiest punching bag, Nickelback, in a bizarre feud with Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger, and as of Thursday, Taylor is trying to bring one more party into the mix… the Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise.

Asked about the feud between the two rockers by Seattle’s KISW radio station on Tuesday, Taylor compared Kroeger to KFC in a harsh analogy, in which he also called Kroeger a “dickhead.” What a way with words, Taylor has.

“I don’t want to talk about that dickhead,” Taylor said. “Why do I give a s**t about what Chad Kroeger says? Chad Kroeger is to rock what KFC is to chicken. Is that wrong? I feel like I’m not wrong … I’ll still eat it, but I’m not gonna feel good about it.”

At least he’s saying he still listens to Kroeger’s music, but just isn’t “gonna feel good about it.” That’s something, isn’t it?

To be fair, Kroeger threw the first punch in the feud, when he told Metal Covenant on June 14 that Slipknot was a “gimmick” and “trying to be Nickelback,” later calling Slipknot “Nickelback Lite.”

As one might expect, Taylor was not happy. Last Tuesday, he responded to the accusation that Slipknot is trying to copy Nickelback by suggesting Kroeger lived on his own planet and flaunted his status as the “Sexiest Dude in Rock.”

Here are his full remarks:

“I don’t know what planet he’s from. Apparently Planet Kroeger. This is what I would say. You can run your mouth all you want. All I know is I’ve been voted ‘Sexiest Dude in Rock’ wearing a mask. You’ve been voted ‘Ugliest Dude in Rock’ twice without one. Stick that up your ass.”

Actually, wait — those aren’t even his full remarks. He went on to claim Kroeger had “a face like a foot,” and even added, “Dude, curl up with your Hello Kitty pillow and shut up.”

As of this week with KFC now caught in the middle of everything, there’s no telling how far this beef will go.
