Tennis Player Maxime Hamou Banned After Aggressively Kissing Reporter

In news that will make some of you glad you weren’t born with a vagina and others of you just sad, the French Open has banned Maxime Hamou after an interview in which he forced his mouth all over reporter Maly Thomas.

The mouth assault happened after he was knocked out of the first round of competition on Monday. You can watch uncomfortably as he aggressively pulls her into him to french her face. It was so bad that even pickup artists cringed.

Thomas said that if they hadn’t been live on air “I would have punched him.” Though I don’t think anyone would have minded if she cup-checked him with her fist.

On Tuesday, Hamou apologized saying he was simply trying to express his enthusiasm, albeit crudely, towards Maly. “I’m still learning every day from my mistakes to become a better tennis player and a better person.”

Eurosport also apologized to viewers in a statement saying, “We sincerely regret the incident that occurred during yesterday evening’s interview. The behavior of the interviewee was highly inappropriate and we do not condone such conduct in any way.”

So, just to be clear. This means you’re not supposed to go around sucking on reporter’s heads like a sexually frustrated lamprey? Geez, why don’t they teach this in sports school?
