Nooooooo!! Chris Pratt and Anna Faris Separating

What the hell, not Chris Pratt and Anna Faris. This blows. These two announced today that eight years of marriage is enough. They’re separating and calling it quits.

The two posted on Facebook a joint statement:

Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating. We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.

They also added:

Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.

The two wrote that they really care for each other and will remember their time together.

We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.

Bummer, is nothing sacred anymore? Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, I can understand. But, Pratt and Faris seemed perfectly in tune with each other. Both funny, both low-key, not typical Hollywood celebs. Anna Faris, 40, has her awesome podcast, Chris Pratt, 38, makes awesome Instagram videos about food. SAD! Also, I never realized Faris was the older one in this relationship.

According to PEOPLE, there was trouble in the air for the past year.

There had been rumors tension between the couple over the past year and both Faris and Pratt had been spotted without their wedding rings at events, with Faris noticeably not wearing her ring at the L.A. premiere of The Emoji Movie in July.

Work may have forced the two apart.

A source says Faris often seemed unhappy while Pratt was away filming and that the separation was often hard for her to bear.

I remember on Anna Faris’ podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, she mentioned being needy. Not sure if that was something she mentioned in passing or jokingly.

Well, this is lame. Guess we’ll all have to listen to her podcast to find out what happened.
