Sunday’s ‘Game of Thrones’ Episode Leaks on Reddit

HBO can’t catch a break it seems. On top of a massive data leak which saw episodes of a bunch a shows no one cares about like Ballers and scripts for Game of Thrones stolen, today the users of the Reddit sub r/freefolk were treated to an early leak of Sunday’s episode of Game of Thrones, called “The Spoils of War.” Apparently, the episode has some shots of boobs and a lot of talk about dragons.

The episode was actually not part of the recent hack, but instead the episode was leaked from Star India, a media company that rebroadcasts Game of Thrones in the Indian market. Entertainment Weekly published this statement from Star India:

“This confirms the compromise of episode 4 of Game of Thrones Season 7, earlier this afternoon. We take this breach very seriously and have immediately initiated forensic investigations at our and the technology partner’s end to swiftly determine the cause. This is a grave issue and we are taking appropriate legal remedial action.”

Game of Thrones is massively popular worldwide, and even world leaders like former President Barack Obama, former Vice-President Al Gore and Australia’s first female Prime Minister Julia Gillard profess to be fans. Game of Thrones is so popular that even PornHub sees a significant drop in traffic when the show airs.

Personally, I’m probably going to wait until Sunday night to watch the episode with the rest of the world. It’s more fun to watch with everyone else, plus the leaked episode has a massive timestamp across the bottom and ain’t nobody got time for that.
