Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five DJ Stabs Homeless Man For No Reason

Kidd Creole, a founding member of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, got furious at a homeless man and stabbed him to death.

The police report indicates that the 55-year-old man had stab wounds to the torso. He was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead. Creole, whose real name is Nathaniel Glover, was arrested after the surveillance footage showed that he was part of the incident.

Even though Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five peaked in the 70’s, Creole and various members have recently performed in concert. They were scheduled to perform in Philadelphia on August 20, Las Vegas in October, and Los Angeles in January. I hope they gave the producers of The Getdown some royalties for their career revival.

What possess a celebrity to stab a homeless man? A barely relevant celebrity who can’t throw money at the situation to make it go away at that. What possess anyone to stab a homeless man? They ask you for money as you leave a nice restaurant and you give them a couple of dollars or you say you’re broke. They get angry, mumble, “If you’re so broke how can you afford to walk?” and then move on to the next person leaving the restaurant. Unless the homeless person is attacking you, there’s no reason to stab one.

Maybe the homeless person said, “The Getdown sucked, that’s why it was canceled after two seasons.” That’s grounds to fight the guy if you’re Kidd Creole, but not a homeless guy. The proper response to that is, “You’re homeless, how do you know if it sucked?” If he can afford a Netflix subscription, he’s not homeless.

There’s more to this story. We’ll probably never know the truth. But that’s not going to stop me from wondering why anyone would ever stab a homeless man.
