A Muslim family who ordered 14 chicken sandwiches at an Alabama McDonald’s allegedly found small pieces of bacon on every one of their sandwiches, according to AL.com. Most adherents of Islam consider pork to be haram, or forbidden, and choose not to eat it or, in some cases, to touch it at all.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, is calling for an investigation and said the incident was “an intentional act of religious and ethnic bigotry,” because of course it was, there were thumbnail-sized pieces of bacon in 14 chicken sandwiches.
This is the sort of thing you read people fantasizing about doing all the time on 4chan’s /pol/ board and other places on the internet where assholes congregate. I’m not entirely sure why, but people who don’t like Muslims are downright obsessed with the fact that Muslims don’t eat pork. Because when you have absolutely no joy in your life, throwing pork chops at people with religious objections to eating pork seems like a good idea, I guess.
Personally, I don’t see how Muslims and Jews can live in a world that has bacon in it and worship a God who tells them not to eat it. That is not the action of a kind and loving God. At the same time, I do respect the dedication it takes to your religion to look at a menu with a bacon double cheeseburger and have a chicken sandwich.
The head of CAIR’s Alabama chapter, Khaula Hadeed, said that one adult vomited twice after having eaten said bacon. Well, either that or they saw the drip tray in the ice cream machine.
