Luann de Lesseps is checking herself into rehab.

As someone who avoids any and all real housewives, I didn’t know who de Lesseps was prior to reading about her arrest. If you’re smart like me and don’t know who she is, she’s part of the Real Housewives of New York.
Here’s what she told PEOPLE about her decision to enter rehab for alcohol abuse:
“After the events of last Saturday night in Palm Beach, I am truly embarrassed. I have decided to seek professional guidance and will be voluntarily checking into an alcohol treatment center. I intend to turn this unfortunate incident into a positive life changing event. Once again, I sincerely apologize for my actions. I have the greatest respect for police officers and the job they do. My actions alleged in the police report do not reflect my core values and my law abiding character.
I am so grateful for the love and support that I am receiving from my family, friends and loyal supporters.”
I’ll buy this if the rehab facility doesn’t allow cameras. I’m sure the treatment is real, but take the cameras off her and let’s see how she acts. Otherwise, this is just another reality TV event in my mind.
De Lesseps was arrested on Saturday in Palm Beach after getting drunk and trying to fight an officer/firefighter/EMT. Her and some unknown dude went into the wrong room, were told to leave by the police, and that’s when she decided she’d rather fight than flight. She shoved the officer, slammed the door on him, and threatened to kill him.
De Lesseps claims that being back in Palm Beach for the first time since her wedding brought up bad emotions.

Oh boy, the ol’ “I want to apologize to anyone I offended with my actions” non-apology apology. Just apologize to the officer for being a drunk ass and move on.
I just wanna know, how is she a Real Housewife if she’s divorced?
